Why is physical fitness a personal matter?
Physical fitness is a personal matter because it involves getting your own body into shape. Meaning having a healthy diet and working out weekly. These two things can reduce many health problems that might be heredity or produce by the lack of diet and exercise. It is personal only you can benefit from it. You could change the way you feel about your outer apperance into a positive one by focusing on the active things you like to do that will also help you loose weight. In the end result, you will look better and feel better inside and out.
How do some people neglect their health by choosing not to participate in physical activity?
Young adults who choose not to participate in physical activities during school and/or after school because of the lack of and athletic background. They might feel as though they cannot compete with those who do play football, basketball, or run track. Also it might come from past experience. Not being pick first during a game of dodgeball. It could also come for the media or what the youth see from the topic magazines. Images seen everyday could cause a lack of confidence or they might think they couldnt get their bodies to a size 0.
What are the primary health risk factors, and which one may be controlled?
Primary health risk factors are broken up into controllable and noncontrollable. The control health risk factors consist of inactivity,obesity, highblood pressure, high levels of cholesterol, stress, and smoking. You can control these factors by exercising, putting yourself around postitve people, or by changing your daily habits. The noncontrollable consist of age, gender, and heredity. These are the factors you cant change or control even if you try.
What benefits are gained by exercising?
Some benefits gained are prevention of fatigue or tiredness, tension, stress, and depression. You will sleep more soundly and wake up more refreshed as you start your day. It prevents diseases like heart and obesity. Improves personal apperance and self-confidence. You will be willing to perticipate in physical activities and sports. Lastly you will be able to function your body more effectively.
What is the relationship between wellness and personal fitness?
Physical fitness provides physical and mental benefits while wellness is the total commitment to living a healthy and active lifesytle. The five components of wellness is mental, emotional, environment,social, and social fitness. Both wellness and personal fitness obtain the benefits to keep you healthy. It is also a plan desigh to help select an active lifestyle and to change one or more natural behaviors.
What is a personal fitness program(PFP)?
It is a plan designed to help you selsct activities that will enable you to improve your lifestyle and to help you change different health behaviors.
